The bright gold and green Empire finish gives a particular freshness to this solid bronze Empire wall lamp, decorated with three conquering swans carrying lights. The shiny gold finish gives a simplified view of the decoration, which is nevertheless very elaborate. It is the general aspect of this application that is captured. The central part, painted in Empire green, is made up of an almost rectangular piece with a fan of feathers at each end. In the centre of the sconce, admire a decorative element of great beauty, adorned with flames to which the triumphant swans carrying lights are attached. Each bird's head is surmounted by a bobeche and a candle. The set is perfect. Realised with total control. This perfection is the result of the work and expertise of Lucien Gau's craftsmen, who have been passing on their know-how for more than six generations.
