Seven-light chandelier including a central, triumphant swans decor
Sublime is this solid bronze Empire-style chandelier with seven lights, including an extravagant torch-shaped centre. The six triumphant swans carrying the lights are supported by imperial green bobeches, the colour of which contrasts with the birds' old gold finish. The combination of these two finishes is characteristic of the style of the period. Strength, power, the spirit of conquest and victory emerge from this splendour and its allure. The eyes of the swans, the position of their wings, the daisies decorating the central body of the chandelier, all testify to the warlike enthusiasm of the period. The quality of this chandelier is extremely high. The detail of its decoration is perfect, highlighted by the old gold finish, which gives extreme relief to details such as the feathers of the swans or the carved bowls. This perfection is possible thanks to the skill of the Maison Lucien Gau craftsmen, who have mastered their art and passed it on for six generations. In the same spirit, you can admire the five-light chandelier under the reference 16060107 or the two-light chandelier under the reference 16060108 or another model with one, two or three lights visible under the respective references 16060110, 16060114 or 16060109.
