This very large classic style lantern in solid bronze and curved glass articulates its nine lights around a central axis. Inside the lantern, the arms are arranged on two levels and the lights are evenly distributed around the entire diameter of the lantern. The gilded and perfectly polished solid bronze supports extend above the glazed section and join together to form a double curve below the point where the chain is attached. Each piece of glass that makes up the turn of the lantern is individually handcrafted and can be replaced if necessary. The bronze circles that illuminate the lantern and cover the windows are framed in the centre by a ring in relief that enhances the play of reflections and the elegance of the object. The cups and bobèches of each candle are delicately drawn. Their gold finish and perfect polish give them an extreme lustre which, in turn, increases the number of reflections and gives this lantern a magical and enchanting appearance. The exceptional quality of this object and its perfect finish are the result of the expertise of the Lucien Gau craftsmen, passed down for more than six generations.
