Product Description
Charming small bronze candelabra with 2 lights, which perfectly reproduces the gilding, the cherub and the precision of the decorations in old gold, characteristic of the sumptuous aesthetics of the Restoration. The model consists of a bronze structure, an ideal metal for its malleability, made up of an angel holding in each hand one of the two lights of the candelabra, like large torches, the bobèche of which is decorated with small plant motifs. The wall support is a golden disc decorated with petals, giving the impression that the angel is emerging from the heart of a flower.
As the heir to a Parisian bronze workshop that has been in business since the 19th century, Lucien Gau demonstrates year after year the exceptional craftsmanship that has been built up and handed down from generation to generation in the restoration, conservation and reproduction of lighting fixtures using techniques that are faithful to the period in which they originated.
