A magnificent table lamp in the Restauration style, with a round cast bronze base with an antique gold finish, a straight foot and a large conical ivory shade with a gold braid and discreet floral decorations. Note the subtlety of the plant motifs on either side of the base, made possible by the use of bronze, a malleable metal that allows for finesse and precision. The lampshade completes the model with simplicity and elegance, its gilded edges enhancing the ivory colour.
Lucien Gau is a leading French specialist in period restoration and conservation. Heir to a 19th-century Parisian bronzer, the company offers a vast collection of lighting fixtures meticulously crafted in precious metals and traditional techniques.
The collection also includes a 6-light chandelier, shown under reference 22050052, and a 2-light wall sconce, shown under reference 22050053.
