This magnificent lamp in solid bronze with bright gold finishes is a very fine example of the return to antique purity advocated by the Directoire style. Its red oval shade, on and underlined by light golden pearls, also gilded, emphasises the great purity of its simplified lines and the great elegance of its body. The shade slides on the rod that crosses it, in reference to the candle models of the time. Perfectly balanced, this lamp is the result of the exceptional work of the craftsmen of the house Lucien Gau, a living French heritage company.
