Exceptional decorative work for this golden wall lamp in solid bronze Directoire style. Its bright gold finish gives it all its brilliance and the strength of its presence. The slightly convex bowl, which protects its halogen bulb, provides a powerful, indirect and adjustable light. Its wall base, composed of concentric rectangles framing a central decorative motif, is a chef d'oeuvre in itself. References to foliage remind us that the Directoire style is an extension of the Louis XVI style. This is particularly evident in the light-bearing arm around which the acanthus leaves are wrapped with exemplary elegance. The exceptional quality of this wall lamp is the result of the traditional craftsmanship of the Maison Lucien Gau, an emblematic company of French Living Heritage.
