Wall lamp Louis XVI patinated old gold, two candlesticks
Wall lamp in solid bronze, lit by two lights - Lucien Gau - Wall lights
This Louis XVI wall sconce, in gold and old gold patina, proudly displays these two branches in double scrolls with candlesticks. Pure and elegant, its two lights display the characteristic symmetry of the Louis XVI style, whose design incorporates references to nature, such as the leaves that draw the double scrolls, the high and low decorations of the wall, or the acorn that ends this one in its low eccentric. There are also other geometric elements that symbolise this artistic inspiration from the end of the 18th century. They mark the links between the elements: bobeches, volutes, the top of the ornament. The set is very well balanced, which underlines the exceptional quality of its manufacture. This sconce is made in the Lucien Gau workshops in France using the most traditional methods of solid bronze work. This wall sconce is also available in three lights, see reference 16060034, and in five lights, see reference 16060036.
