Louis XVI wall lamp, patinated bronze old gold, four candlesticks
Louis XVI wall lamp, perfect symmetry, solid gilt bronze, decorated with four arms double volute. - Lucien Gau - Wall lights
Terribly elegant, this Louis XVI wall sconce in solid bronze is perfectly symmetrical. With an antique gold patina, it has four arms in double scroll candlesticks. The Louis XVI style is characterised by the presence of leaves covering the scrolls that decorate the high and low elements of the candlestick. The body of the wall lamp is elongated in smooth, shiny lines, interspersed with a hammered strip, a happy contrast. The seams of the bobeches and bowls are precise and delicate, as are the fine strings of pearls that border the bowls. This precision is the result of using the best metal alloys. The bronze used to make this wall light was cast in a sand mould that is broken when it is removed from the mould. The unique use of the mould and the exceptional craftsmanship of the artisans who work on this piece guarantee the finesse and perfection of its decorations. This wall lamp is also available with two lamps under the reference 16060035 or with three lamps under the reference 16060034.
