Beautifully crafted, this Louis XVI wall sconce in solid bronze with an antique gold finish carries its three candlesticks with extreme elegance. Its braided arms with light and its draped and decorated body, finished with two extremely refined pompoms, show the work and exceptional craftsmanship of Lucien Gau, official supplier of French historic castles and monuments and the greatest hotels in the world. Note that the finesse of the decoration is housed in the button attachment of the wall, delicately surrounded by a draped cord, button found at the end of the thin braids that follow the arms of the lights. The decorative elements of the Louis XVI style are thus present in the festoons, draperies and flower buds that end the braids. The bobeches and feet of the candleholders reflect the classical references to antiquity that also characterise the Louis XVI style.
