Louis XV bronze chandelier six lights
Solid bronze chandelier, decorated with acanthus leaf motifs, patinated old gold, leaf bobeches - Lucien Gau - Chandeliers
This Louis XV six-light bronze chandelier has an airy balance and is composed of six arms decorated with acanthus leaves and connected to the lower central part (or base) by keys. It is extended upwards by a central element in the form of an amphora, decorated in the same way, and connected to the fixing ring by a very elegant ornament in the form of flared leaves. This is reminiscent of the shape of the bowls that decorate the base of each candleholder. The whole, refined and distinguished, has a very nice balance of forms. Note the work on the links of the chain. The work is done entirely by hand, using the most traditional methods. The solid bronze is melted in a sand mould. The finishing, assembly and application of the old gold patina are carried out in the manufacturer's workshops in France. There are two similar chandeliers: eight lights under the reference 12020270 and five or three lights under the reference 12020271. A matching wall sconce with two or three lights is also available under reference 12020273.
Dimensions: height with chain 825cm, without chain 55cm, diameter 52cm.
Light source: six standard E14 small screw bulbs, preferably flame-shaped.
