Louis XV bronze chandelier five lights
Solid cast bronze classic chandelier, decorated with acanthus leaf motifs, old gold patina, keys, leaf bobeches - Lucien Gau - Chandeliers
This five-light chandelier in Louis XV bronze is composed of five arms decorated with acanthus leaves and connected by keys to the lower central part (or base). It is extended upwards by a central element in the form of an amphora, decorated in the same way, and connected to the fixing ring by a very elegant ornament in the form of flared leaves. This is reminiscent of the shape of the bowls that decorate the base of each candleholder. The whole, refined and distinguished, has a very nice balance of forms. Note the work on the links of the chain. The work is done entirely by hand, using the most traditional methods. The solid bronze is melted in a sand mould. The finishing, assembly and application of the old gold patina are carried out in the manufacturer's workshops in France. There are two similar chandeliers: eight lights with reference 12020270 and six lights with reference 12020276. This model also exists in a three-light version, available under the command options below. A wall lamp with two or one light fitting is also available under reference 12020273.
Dimensions: the five-light model in the photo is 73cm high with chain, 52cm high without chain, diameter 42cm. Model with three lamps, identical dimensions.
Light source: five or three small E14 standard bulbs, preferably flame-shaped.
