Degas 2-light wall lamp in gold is composed of a central shaft decorated with a small pointed seed and surmounted by two symmetrical arms, each extended by a narrow bell-shaped basin which accommodates the bulbs screwed onto metal candle covers with a galvanised gold finish, which matches perfectly with the Venetian crystal encrusted with small gold spangles used for the whole model. It is an elegant and harmonious wall lamp named after one of the leading painters of the impressionist movement. Barovier & Toso, which comes from a long line of master glassmakers dating back to the 14th century, perpetuates the family tradition and know-how as well as the firm's leading position, while having introduced a modernist dimension and innovative aesthetics to the discipline of Murano glasswork.
