Pewter chandelier Louis XIII thirty lights
Solid bronze chandelier with matt pewter patina, thirty lights, hexagonal bobbins, flat and toric links chain - Lucien Gau - Chandeliers
This magnificent thirty-light Louis XIII bronze chandelier was designed for the largest of residences. Made of solid bronze, it has been given a matt, pewter-like patina. The forms of this chandelier have been designed in strict respect of the Louis XIII style. The lights are distributed on three levels, and thanks to the accuracy of the drawing, it radiates a perfect balance. The central part is made up of superimposed elements with six faces and supports thirty arms in volutes. Each arm ends with a fine scrollwork ornament. The bobeches are of various shapes, one of which is also hexagonal. The chain of this chandelier is made up of an alternation of flat and toric links and ends with a solid ring at the top of the central part. The workmanship is impeccable, each element is individually cast in a sand mould, then finished and assembled by hand in the manufacturer's workshops. It is entirely made in France.
