Louis XV bronze chandelier three golden lights, by Lucien Gau

Equipped with three candlesticks without bobeches in a perfectly symmetrical design, this Louis XV chandelier is finely gilded and made of solid sand-cast bronze. It is articulated around three vertical arms with many volutes. These elements connect the upper part, which is connected to the fixing hooks, to the six arms, also in the form of volutes, at the end of which are placed fine candlesticks without bobeche and decorated with ponds separated by leaves. These three arms are also connected to the lower central part of the chandelier. The branches are decorated with pearls and acanthus leaves. Ornamental motifs also match the various elements of the central section and the ceiling cone. The quality of workmanship is exceptional: the solid bronze is melted in a sand mould, and the whole piece is worked, finished, patinated and assembled by hand in the manufacturer's French workshops. Light source: three E14 standard incandescent bulbs, preferably frosted.
