A superb tribute to the city of Venice and the lanterns used in the Middle Ages in the city, with this series of 5 Fanali Veneziani suspensions in a classic style, from which this 42cm model in Venetian crystal encrusted with gold flakes and finished in gold metal comes. The suspension evokes a delicate flower with an elongated lower part decorated with a seed in a crystal sphere typical of Venetian chandeliers, and its reflector in a flared bell, all in slightly fluted crystal with touches of gold, giving a particular texture to the model. It is suspended on a metal chain with a gold finish. The Venetian firm of Barovier & Toso, which comes from a long line of master glassmakers dating back to the 14th century, perpetuates the family tradition and know-how as well as the firm's leading position, while introducing a modernist dimension and innovative aesthetic to the discipline of Murano glasswork.
