19th century round ceiling light in brass and opal glass
Round Haussmannian ceiling lamp in gold finish - Lucien Gau - Ceiling lights
A pretty ceiling light in the pure Haussmannian style, the period in the second half of the 19th century that marked the arrival of electricity in Parisian buildings, this model is composed of a round gilded brass ceiling support surmounted by a white opal glass dome and decorated with a small flower delicately chiselled in bronze with an old gold finish, thanks to the malleability of this metal.
As the heir to a Parisian bronze workshop that has been in business since the 19th century, Lucien Gau demonstrates year after year the exceptional craftsmanship that has been built up and handed down from generation to generation, both in terms of restoration and conservation, and in the reproduction of lighting fixtures using techniques that are faithful to the period in which they originated.
You can find other models in this series under the references 22050055, 22050057 and 22050058.
