Nymphéa classic brass chandelier, by Lucien Gau

For lovers of a certain sobriety without renouncing elegance, the Classique collection proposes this magnificent 5-light golden Nymphéa chandelier, entirely in brass and with a green-painted metal shade. The model has 5 swan-necked arms that extend from a small central saucer in the shape of a water lily, decorated with a discreet seed. The arms are prolonged by a bobèche representing a flower opening, which allows to fix the sheaths, disguised as a candle, giving an authentic air to the model. The legs are surmounted by a conical shade in green lacquered metal with golden edges and a white interior to reflect the light effectively. The chandelier is mounted on a vertical brass rod, which is connected to a stylised ceiling cone in the shape of the chandelier's central saucer.

Lucien Gau, the French specialist in period restoration and conservation, is the heir to a 19th-century Parisian bronze-maker and offers a vast collection of lighting fixtures meticulously crafted from precious metals using traditional high quality techniques.
