Louis XV gilded bronze and frosted glass form basin floor lamp, by Lucien Gau

Reference: 12020275

Classic floor lamp with frosted diffuser in basin shape, antique gold patinated bronze, solid round support

Product Description

Equipped with a frosted glass diffuser in the form of a bowl and placed on a decorated support, this gold floor lamp provides powerful lighting while respecting the rules of the Louis XV style. Its frosted glass diffuser provides excellent, perfectly homogenised horizontal ambient lighting and strong, non-diffused light upwards. The diffuser is mounted on a ball-and-socket joint that allows the bowl to be adjusted. To minimise the effect of this Louis XV style joint, the diffuser is placed on a bronze support decorated with finely carved leaves. The base of this lamp is decorated with grooves and a double ornament in the centre and widens out at the bottom into a solid and stable support, also decorated with matching leaves. This floor lamp can be fitted with a 300W halogen bulb. The quality of workmanship is remarkable. The solid bronze has an old gold patina. There is a similar model with a bronze reflector under the reference 120202364. Another floor lamp XV, with some ornamental variations and also equipped with a frosted diffuser, can be seen under the reference 12020249.

Dimensions: height 182cm, diameter 33cm.
