Cyclope contemporary floor lamp in gilded glass
Floor lamp with pivoting parabola and black metal, also available in silver - RADAR - Floor lamps
Inspired by the studio lighting of the 1920s, the Cyclops floor lamp, with its pivoting parabola in gold thermoformed glass and matt black metal frame, is a highly contemporary model. Aptly named, Cyclops has a bulb at the centre of a superb glass dome, which is attached to a U-shaped arm that allows the reflector to swivel. The reflector sits on a straight base and a round black lacquered metal base. Manufactured in the European Union, the glass dome is made using the traditional thermoformed glass process, a technique in which glass is shaped by exposing it to very high heat in special furnaces, making it flexible and malleable. This work is complemented by a beautiful gold mirror finish, which gives the model a warm touch.
Radar chooses glass as its material of choice to develop vibrant finishes and aesthetics that are rich in texture and innovative. The luminaire was designed by Bastien Taillard, a Frenchman from a creative family who trained in Paris, Milan and on his many travels before founding Radar in 2016 with Italian Francesca Bertini. The brand has quickly made a name for itself with a collection of lamps handcrafted by expert artisans in the four corners of Europe.
