Product Description
Superb Cometa 2-light floor lamp in a contemporary design with two large golden thermoformed glass domes on a matt black lacquered metal structure. The floor lamp consists of an ultra-thin metal disc base mounted on four small feet that raise the top and a straight foot, all in matt black lacquered metal. Two domes resemble satellite dishes, each pointing in a different direction. Handcrafted in the European Union, the glass domes are made using the artisanal process of thermoforming glass, a technique in which glass is shaped by exposing it to very high heat in special ovens, making it flexible and malleable. Cometa is completed with a beautiful mirror finish and a black fabric covered electrical cord.
Radar has chosen glass as its material of choice to develop finishes and vibrant aesthetics that are rich in texture and innovative. The luminaire was designed by Bastien Taillard, a Frenchman from a creative family who trained in Paris, Milan and on his many travels before founding Radar in 2016 with Italian Francesca Bertini. The brand has quickly made a name for itself with a collection of lamps handcrafted by expert artisans in the four corners of Europe.
