Beautiful Marta pendant lamp in a contemporary style, whose distinctive feature is the three cognac-coloured Venetian crystal spheres strung on a chrome-plated metal rod, which overhang the black diffuser. The spheres are made using the traditional Venetian 'corteccia' technique, which involves rotating and blowing the crystal at very high temperatures. The Venetian firm of Barovier & Toso, which comes from a long line of master glassmakers dating back to the 14th century, perpetuates the family tradition and know-how as well as the firm's leading position, while having introduced a modernist dimension and innovative aesthetics into the discipline of Murano glasswork.
