This Scantling desk lamp is a design icon, with its articulated design and switch integrated into the shade. Made of white metal and light wood, it is perfect for interiors where these two combinations predominate. Its designer, Mathias Hahn, a graduate of London's prestigious Royal College of Arts, is as passionate about aesthetics as he is about technology. So the purity of his Scantling luminaire combines with this passion for perfection and balance. Scantling is in constant equilibrium and requires no gears or mechanisms. Its weight and balance alone act as a counterweight, ensuring perfect stability. In addition to its lighting function, which is provided by a lampshade that can rotate 360°, Mathias Hahn is also passionate about the place that the object itself occupies in our interiors and in our emotions when it is switched off.
