Swivel 50s floor lamp in metal and gold details
Inspired by Serge Mouille's famous 1950s lighting designs, the Charlton floor lamp in white metal with gold details has an articulated arm and an asymmetrical adjustable shade. Charlton has a round antique brass base and a white metal tube leg extended by an articulated arm with 3 antique brass ball joints. The lampshade, characteristic of the period, is in white metal. Note the details of the shade, which is punched with a series of small holes through which the light points can pass. The antique brass finish is achieved by hand-rubbing the metal to give a distinctive golden patina. Charlton's articulated arm makes it a versatile and adaptable floor lamp, providing direct light or indirect light when directed towards the wall.
This lamp is by AERIN, Estée Lauder's granddaughter, who has created a world of Hamptons chic and elegance with Mediterranean influences. The American brand Visual Comfort, which has been in business since 1987, offers a wide range of contemporary and traditional lamps made from the highest quality materials.
