Plissé large dome ceiling light in white Murano crystal, by Barovier&Toso

The Plissé ceiling lamp is a superb classic design that uses a technique developed by Barovier and Toso to achieve a regular striped effect by alternating between matt white and transparent glass, a process that is carried out using the Venetian crystal of which the whole model is made. The ceiling light is a large dome, as if wrapped in wide strips of crystal, all fixed by a piece of white lacquered metal that seals the dome from below. The play of stripes creates a diffuse, milky light. The fusion of the Barovier and Toso family glassworks, whose names have been historically linked to the work of Venetian crystal since the 14th century, gives rise to the house that bears their name, and is synonymous with the best quality of Murano glasswork.
