Table lamp with square shade in chintz and solid nickel bronze
The geometric design of the Infini table lamp is the eye-catcher, with its silver finish. The model has a four-cornered pyramid base, topped by a foot made of four small stacked octahedrons and topped by a beautiful square shade in off-white chintz. Infini is also finished with a superb silver bronze finish obtained by polishing the bronze to create a contrast between the shiny edges and the natural hollows of the metal, which are left matt, and then covered with a thin layer of nickel applied by electrolysis (nickel is preferred to silver because it tends to oxidise quickly). Objet Insolite is a French company that has been creating lighting fixtures in its Normandy workshops since 1981, and has been awarded the Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant (Living Heritage Company) label, a distinction granted by the French government that recognises French companies with exceptional artisanal and industrial production.
