Plume is a golden floor lamp with a minimalist, poetic and country design, with its solid bronze structure with a gold finish, accompanied by two small birds and a large white shade. The model soberly evokes a tree, with its round base surmounted by a straight foot equipped with a short branch on which a bird is placed, keeping company with a second bird placed on the base. The foot is topped by a large conical shade of off-white chintz. The whole piece is made of solid bronze, with a gilded bronze finish obtained by polishing the bronze to create a contrast between the shiny edges and the natural hollows of the metal, which are left matte. The metal is then electroplated with a thin, even layer of gold. Objet Insolite is a French company that has been creating lighting fixtures in its Normandy workshops since 1981, and has been awarded the Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant (Living Heritage Company) label, a distinction granted by the French government that recognises French companies with exceptional craft and industrial production.
