The elegant Balustrade table lamp is a classic design with an alabaster base and a large white linen shade. The lamp has a square base with an elongated vase-shaped foot carved from exquisite white alabaster. Alabaster is a natural stone whose unique veining can vary from one lamp base to another, resulting in differences from the illustration opposite. The base is surmounted by a generously proportioned, round and slightly conical white linen shade. The Balustrade has French wiring, which means that the power cable is connected directly to the socket and the switch is located on the cable. The base and the ball at the top of the shade are in dark bronze metal. The Balustrade design was created by Chapman & Myers for the Visual Comfort brand, founded in Houston in 1987.
