Odalisca baloton blown glass bubble pendant lamp
Venetian-style pendant lamp in baloton crystal and gilded metal - Siru - Pendants
The Odalisca Venetian-style pendant is shaped like a drop of water, with a blown glass bubble diffuser in Baloton crystal finish that gives it the air of a fairy lantern, and a gilded metal structure. The model is composed of a delicate glass bubble blown using the Baloton crystal technique. This unique process, emblematic of the art of Murano glassmaking, consists of blowing hot glass directly into a metal structure before it solidifies, creating the quilted effect of the glass and rhomboid shapes on the outer surface. It's this special process that gives the glass its semi-transparent texture and fluid feel, making each model unique, with slight variations inseparable from the craftsmanship. The golden finish of the structure and the small flower that decorates the seed accentuate the refinement of the model.
Siru is a brilliant blend of art and craftsmanship: its fascinating lamps, reminiscent of the splendor of a bygone Venice, are handmade in the kiln using ancient Venetian techniques of blowing and coloring molten glass.
Dimensions: 37cm high, 30cm diameter.
The light source is a 60W max E27 bulb or LED equivalent, to be purchased separately.
