Product Description
The formal design of the Théia floor lamp with dimmable LED lighting is elementary: a half-shell diffuser and a half-sphere diffuser. The materials used are more complex: smoked transparent thermoformed methacrylate for the half-shell, black metal and lacquered repoussé iron for the base and stem, lacquered aluminium for the heat sink containing the switch. Named after the Greek goddess who was the mother of sun, moon and shadow, the concept behind this floor lamp has a single purpose: to bring light and shadow together in a single piece. Its designer, Mathias Hahn, drew inspiration from nature, using a single light source to project, reflect or absorb light from objects. Theia is like playing with the moon and the sun, a child's dream.
