Double wall lamp, Louis XVI style, solid gilt bronze
Wall lamp two lights, draped and twisted decor, old gold finish - Lucien Gau - Wall lights
This double wall sconce in gilded bronze, in the style of Louis XVI, enhances the elegance of the drapery motif on which it is mounted. In the composition of this wall, everything seems to flow, as this piece of fabric, which delicately surrounds the beautifully decorated button that serves as a pendant, is tied on its way to the end with two very pretty pom-poms. The arms holding the candles are twisted and delicately attached to the body of the applique by what could be a piece of gathered fabric. The flared basins are bordered by two strings of fine pearls. The bobeches are also elegantly worked, reminiscent of a pearl necklace. The work on this wall lamp is precise, delicate, entirely handcrafted and perfectly executed by the craftsmen of Lucien Gau, the silversmiths of the matter and official suppliers of French historical monuments, castles and the most beautiful hotels in the world.
