Gilt bronze chandelier, Louis XVI, six lights
Bronze chandelier with double scroll arms, acanthus leaves and flared basins - Lucien Gau - Chandeliers
Finesse and lightness for this very beautiful gilded bronze chandelier in the Louis XVI style, with six lights at the end of its scrolled arms covered with curved acanthus leaves. The candlestick bowls are in the form of highly worked cups, covered with small leaves and set with fine pearls. It ends with a floral bud surmounted by an elegant cup-shaped part that reveals the bases of the basins. The body is fine and delicate, with an elongated, fluted form, also highlighted by a fine pearl necklace. Its lyre-shaped link, chain link, fluted, fluted and toroidal, and cabochon with fluted decoration, testify to the extreme care taken in the creation of this chandelier, down to the smallest detail. It is the result of the exceptional manual work of Lucien Gau's craftsmen, official suppliers to the historic monuments and castles of France and the greatest palaces in the world. With a chain 88 cm high, this chandelier will highlight a room with a ceiling height of about 3 metres. However, there are smaller models with five lights or three lights, see reference 16060065. You can also see the matching appliqués for one lamp under reference 1606062 or two lamps under reference 16060063.
