Wall lamp in silvered hammered glass Solar
Contemporary wall lamp, black metal, design by Samuel Accoceberry - RADAR - Wall lights
Depending on the angle from which you look at Solar, you'll see an ultra-thin wing of silver thermoformed glass or a surprising surface that appears to be liquid. Designed by Samuel Accoceberry, this contemporary wall luminaire is made of silver mirrored hammered glass. The model features a reflector in the form of a concave, slightly hexagonal glass wing, manufactured in the European Union using the artisanal process of thermoforming, a technique in which glass is shaped by exposing it to very high heat in special furnaces, making it flexible and malleable. What gives the glass its unique finish is the hammering, which creates these superb textural effects, imitating the movement of water and creating these magnificent plays of light on the silver surface of the glass. The LED light is placed in the centre of the reflector under a white satinised glass diffuser and the wall light is fixed to the wall with a discreet black lacquered metal bracket.
Designed by Samuel Accoceberry, Solar is the first in a series of collaborations to enrich the Radar brand's catalogue. Founded in 2016 by Frenchman Bastien Taillard and Italian Francesca Bertini, Radar works exclusively with glass, metal, marble and plaster, extracted and shaped in Europe. From the outset, they have made a name for themselves for the high quality, finesse and originality of their lighting.
