Mancha medieval chandelier satin nickel finish
8-light chandelier in solid silver bronze with white conical shades - Objet insolite - Chandeliers
A solemn, almost medieval air with this superb Mancha 8-light silver-plated chandelier, made of solid bronze with a satin nickel finish and white conical shades. The model consists of a central ring on which the 8 lights are grafted, made of a vertical arm extended by a saucer-shaped basin topped by candles, each topped by a pretty conical white taffeta shade. The chandelier is balanced by three chains which are connected to a central point suspended from a chain fixed to the ceiling. Note the superb bronze-nickel finish, a silver finish obtained by polishing the bronze to create a contrast between the shiny edges and the natural hollows of the metal, then magnified by a thin layer of nickel applied by electrolysis (nickel is preferred to silver because it tends to oxidise quickly).
Objet Insolite is a French company that has been creating lighting fixtures in its Normandy workshops since 1981, and has been awarded the Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant (Living Heritage Company) label, a distinction granted by the French government that recognises French companies with exceptional craft and industrial production.
