The appearance of the ceiling lamp with the arrival of electricity in the Haussmannian buildings of Paris marks a certain modernity, which is reproduced in this model of a round ceiling lamp with a support and a frame in bronze with an old gold patina finish, pierced all around with small locks, and a magnificent crystal diffuser cut so as to divide the light into as many small diamonds as possible. It is crowned by a gold plate and a smooth stem, giving it an undeniable elegance.
As the heir to a Parisian bronze workshop that has been in business since the 19th century, Lucien Gau demonstrates year after year his exceptional craftsmanship, built up and handed down from generation to generation, in the restoration, conservation and reproduction of lamps using techniques faithful to the period in which they originated.
