19th century ceiling light in crystal and old gold patina
Haussmannian style ceiling light in brass, bronze and cut crystal, geometric pattern - Lucien Gau - Ceiling lights
Superb ceiling lamp made up of a laser-cut brass ring with an antique gold patina finish, pierced with a repeating geometric pattern and surmounted by a large cut crystal dome that acts as a diffuser, topped by a beautiful plate with plant motifs and a smooth golden seed that gives the model a particularly elegant touch. The appearance of the appliance ceiling lamp with the arrival of electricity in the Haussmann buildings in Paris marked a certain modernity in the world of lighting, and it is this style from the second half of the 19th century that we find in this model.
Lucien Gau, heir to a Parisian bronze workshop that has been in business since the 19th century, demonstrates year after year his exceptional craftsmanship, built up and handed down from generation to generation, in the restoration, conservation and reproduction of lighting fixtures using techniques faithful to the period in which they originated.
