This exquisite Louis XV bronze, antique gold and Bohemian crystal wall sconce is only 8cm wide - an undeniable advantage when space is at a premium. A massive bronze stand decorated with elegantly curving acanthus leaves is extended in the centre by a double spiral arm with matching ornamental motifs. The candlestick stands on a small, gently curved foot, and the bowl (the cup at the base of the candlestick) is in the form of several separated leaves. A few tassels in Bohemian crystal add a charming aesthetic touch to this wall lamp of austere style. The craftsmanship is exemplary, with solid sand-cast bronze, worked, finished and patinated by hand. There is a matching Louis XV double wall sconce, see reference 12020209.
