Louis XV gilded bronze wall sconce two lights
Solid bronze classic wall light, old gold patina, scroll decoration, without bobeches - Lucien Gau - Wall lights
This slender Louis XV two-light wall sconce is composed of four delicately carved and beautifully joined arms to form a particularly airy set. Each candleholder, which has no sabiliard and is decorated with a bowl in the shape of flared leaves, sits above a scrolled arm. The two arms rest on a lower half cone with matching patterns. The two branches are joined by two scrolls, which are attached to their upper ends in a very graceful movement. Very fine, this application does not cover and therefore reveals the decorative coating of the wall to which it is attached. The set benefits from a rigorous quality of manufacture, carried out in a traditional way in the French workshops of the manufacturer. The bronze, solid and fused with sand, is weathered old gold.
Dimensions: height 30cm, width 28cm, overhang 14cm.
Light source: two standard E14 bulbs, preferably frosted.
