Solid bronze lamp Louis XVI style, three lights, with green and gold painted bronze lampshade
Bronze lamp finish old gold, three arms in double scrolls carrying lights - Lucien Gau - Table lamps
This three-light Louis XVI style solid bronze gold lamp is characterised by its green and gold painted shade, the richness of its decoration and the cup in which its foot rests. The antique gold finish of the bronze highlights the quality and precision of the decoration. From the cup, the base of the lamp is decorated with a necklace of fine pearls, leaves and luminous circles. The body begins with a detail of ascending leaves and continues with a section that supports a new cup from which arms emerge in double volutes carrying lights. These arms are highlighted, partly as a decorative element, but also to emphasise the brilliant treatment of the bronze. The bowls are carved with floral motifs and directly support the candles. The lampshade slides on a finely worked stem of a bud to adjust its height, in reference to old models with candles that were reduced in size as they burned. This lamp also exists in a version with two lights, see reference 16060084.
Measurements: height: 54 cm, diameter: 38 cm
