Great originality for this large Louis XVI style lamp in solid bronze finished in antique gold. Its lampshade, in the shape of an upturned cup with a golden circle, is made of opaline and curved glass. Its slightly flared, fluted base ends in a drop of acanthus leaves. From here, another decorative detail is barely visible, partly hidden by the shade: a sprout of leaves that seems to support the shade. The base, partly covered with leaves, is simple and smooth, made up of a series of concentric circles. This decorative detail is the result of the inestimable know-how of Lucien Gau's craftsmen, passed on from generation to generation.
