Small Louis XVI chandelier in gilded bronze, five lights
Classic chandelier in solid bronze, patinated old gold, decoration in acanthus leaves, beaded basin, fluted bobeches, volute arms - Lucien Gau - Chandeliers
This beautiful solid bronze chandelier from the Louis XVI period (late 18th century) has been patinated in antique gold to bring out all the qualities of its decoration. The precision of the details of the acanthus leaves on the spiral arms or those decorating the central element, the relief of the grooves of the bobeches and the body of the lamp or the fine pearl chains decorating the basins make this small chandelier a real gem. With a chain-less height of 60 cm, it can be placed under ceilings from 2.70 cm high. Rigorously drawn, it takes up the classic themes of the Louis XVI style, combining a natural evocation in the form of leaves and buds with a geometric shape in the contoured cut of the arms, the squares that connect the arms to the bowls and the exemplary quality of the chain links, whose geometry and perfection are reminiscent of certain French-style basins. This chandelier is also available with six lights, see reference 16060038.
Dimensions: height including chain: 85 cm, height without chain: 60 cm, diameter: 46 cm.
Light source: five standard E14 screw bulbs, preferably in frosted flame glass, to be purchased separately.
