Bronze chandelier Louis XV twelve lights
Solid bronze patina old gold chandelier, acanthus leaves and vertical arms - Lucien Gau - Chandeliers
This magnificent Louis XV style chandelier with twelve lights is made of solid bronze with an antique gold patina. Twelve spiral arms, decorated with an ornamental pattern of exquisitely carved acanthus leaves, support as many candlesticks. The basins (cups at the base of each candle) are in the shape of slightly twisted leaves and are surmounted by a delicate bobeche in the shape of a slightly swollen vase, also decorated. The lower part of the chandelier is connected to the shackle by four vertical arms in the form of a double volute and decorated with a bubbling pattern. It is beautifully surmounted by a curved horizontal pattern, then by an elegant element in the form of a lyre. The whole benefits from an exceptional balance. The workmanship is exemplary, solid bronze, sand moulded, hand worked, finished and patinated. A similar model with twenty lights and a height of 120cm without chain is available under the reference 12020222.
Dimensions: Height with chain 105cm, without chain 85cm, diameter 70cm.
Light source: 12 standard E14 screw bulbs, preferably frosted halogen type.
